Lincolnshire County Council has approved an application to extend the operating hours at Harmston quarry after an earlier application was withdrawn. The proposal was to extend the working hours until 6pm on weekdays, 30 minutes longer than currently permitted. In October 2014, the applicant had withdrawn an application seeking to extend the hours until 7pm when councillors were minded to refuse permission, claiming it would harm the amenity of the residents of nearby villages.
