A cement and concrete giant is helping to reduce the carbon footprint of building works for a major motorway link road. The project to connect Heysham and Morecambe to a new Junction of the M6 in Lancashire will include a 4.8km dual carriageway with foot and cyclepath. Lafarge Tarmac, which is supplying Costain with aggregate, ready-mix concrete and asphalt, is working out the CO_2 equivalent figures for all materials supplied to the project.
