What do China, climate change, fracking, corporate social responsibility and rare earths have in common? They are all matters we did not spend a lot of time worrying about back in the 1970s. In the course of writing a forthcoming book about recent developments in the mining industry, The Remaking of the Mining Industry, I am struck how much the agenda of the industry has changed. Our preoccupations 40 years ago were different from those today.

Exchange Rate Pass-Through in Transition Economies: The Case of the Republic of Macedonia Abstract: This paper investigates the relative costs and benefits associated with introducing a different exchange rate regime in the Republic of Macedonia.
