Plans for the world's largest potash mine has been approved by the North York Moors National Park Authority (NYMNPA). The mine head at Dove's Nest Farm near Whitby and most of its infrastructure will be built within the highly protected landscape. NYMNPA director of planning Chris French told Mineral Planning: "This is the biggest industrial application for any national park and has dominated our work for the past four years."
