摘要

A model for estimation of fatigue-life distributionfunction with respect to random character of the load process waspresented in Part I. In this paper the extension of this model isproposed using a probabilistic interpretation of materialcharacteristics. By means of a proper connection of the set ofrepresenting material parameters and loading characteristics thecomplete model of life estimation arises. This model enablescomputation of a fatigue-life distribution function (DF) respectingthe stochastic nature of the interacting material and loadingcharacteristics. A set of material parameters, entering thecalculation in probabilistic form, is obtained by statisticaltreatment of the experimental dependences #sigma#_a = f(2N_f)and #epsilon#_ap = f(2N_f), by means of the confidence andprediction intervals. A set of loading characteristics, representingthe random process, is obtained by a proper segmentation of theload process record. Resultant DF allows to estimate the life forthe required probability of failure occurrence (premature fatiguefracture) and can be widely used at design stage or in operation.DF enables to assess different combinations of materials and loadconditions. The concrete procedure of its estimation is presented.DF obtained is in a good agreement with the experimental results.
