摘要

A mixed self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of two kinds of thiolate with a hydrogen- or a chlorine-terminated bicyclo[2.2.2]octane moiety was formed on Au(111). The terminal groups (X = H and Cl) on the bicyclo[2.2.2]octane moieties were identified with noncontact atomic force microscopy (NC-AFM) using a Si tip with a native oxide layer.
