Clinical guidelines for the assessment of low back pain have improved within the last decade, and evidence-based diagnostic and treatment strategies for this condition seem to be widely accepted. The inter-tester reliability of the questions and tests used for clinical evaluation of low back pain has not, however, been rigorously evaluated in clinicians who are not medically trained, such as physiotherapists.
