Iranian buyers are interested in purchases of domestically produced beam, while demand for the import material is rather weak inspite of its lower prices. Thus, IME quotations of domestic beams have risen by $30-35/t in two weeks, and some foreign suppliershave reduced their prices by $40/t in the same period. Market players think the growth of IME quotations is not supported bystronger demand and is caused by rumours of possible reduction of power and gas subsidies by the government.
