Lower scrap quotations in the US domestic market (-$20/t from last week) and sluggish activity of traders, who have sufficient stocks of January material, have forced US flats producers to delay an increase. Most of them keep their offers unchanged from last week's levels, trying to implement a $55/t ($50/short ton) raise in prices for the material with April shipment, announced in late January.
