An increase in prices for flats is gathering pace in Italy. Local suppliers havefinally set official prices for March production, encouraged by successful salesat the beginning of the year and seeing the general upward trend in Europe.They also intend to continue raising prices into Q2. Foreign suppliers are alsotrying to follow Italian producers, unwilling to sell too cheap; their increasehas been in the range of EUR 5-25/t depending on supplier.
