It is my pleasant duty to say a few words about a person who has made a major contributin to the Canadian Region of NCSL-Marilyn Ross, our guest of honour today. Marilyn joined the quality engineering test establishment, Department of National Defence in the National Capital region in 1979. Her objective was to make some spending money for a trip to Ireland during the summer. 21 years later she is still with that organization. As secretary to Graham Cameron, she quickly became immersed in NCSL activities, aided Graham greatly when he was president in 1991 and coordinated nineteen Canadian Workshops and Symposia and the annual spring meetings. She handled registration, negotiated accommodation, provided agendas, and produced the excellent minutes we all have read with interest in our newsletter.
