摘要

The U.S.Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC)published its updated Standard for the Flammability(Open Flame)of Mattress Sets in March.The standard is based on research by the National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST)and goes into effect July 1,2007.The CPSC estimates that compliance with the new standard will prevent 240-270 deaths and 1,150-1,330 injuries annually.
