In this work, we consider an elliptic system modeling two subpopulations competing for resources. We will investigate the existence of positive solutions. Under suitable conditions, using fixed point theory and bifurcation, we will show the existence of at least one positive solution. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
