摘要

The reaction of copper(I) iodide with 1-2-(cyclo#173;hexyl#173;sulfan#173;yl)eth#173;ylpyridin-2(1H)-one (L, C13H19NOS) in aceto#173;nitrile/di#173;chloro#173;methane results in a crystalline coordination polymer, namely polybis#173;{#956;2-1-2-(cyclo#173;hexyl#173;sulfan#173;yl)eth#173;ylpyridin-2(1H)-one}tetra-#956;3-iodido#173;tetra#173;copper(I), Cu4I4L2n. The asymmetric unit comprises two ligand mol#173;ecules, four copper(I) ions and four iodide ions. Inter#173;estingly, the O atoms are bound to the soft copper(I) ions. The stair-step clusters of Cu and I atoms in the asymmetric unit are linked repeatedly, giving rise to infinite chains along 100. Neighbouring infinite chains are linked through the L mol#173;ecules, forming a two-dimensional brick-wall structure. These two-dimensional networks are stacked alternately along 001. Additionally, there are inter#173;molecular C#8212;H#8943;I hydrogen bonds and C#8212;H#8943;#960; inter#173;actions between the ligands.
