摘要

The existing data for Au-197 on the neutron-capture (sigma(gamma)) and inelastic-scattering (sigma(in)) cross sections as well as the data on the parameters of an angular distribution of elastic neutron scattering were analyzed in the energy region E(n) less-than-or-equal-to 250 keV to investigate possible nonstatistical effects in sigma(in). The p- and d-wave neutron strength functions S1 and S2 and the p-wave potential scattering parameter R1infinity were determined as S1 = 0.456(77) x 10(-4), S2 = 1.00(25) x 10(-4) and R1infinity = 0.03(2). The nonstatistical strengthening of sigma(in) to the first excited level of Au-197 was found. [References: 14]
