Eucalyptus rhomboidea Hopper & D.Nicolle, first collected by the late Ken Newbey in 1979, is described as new. The species is a member of Eucalyptus ser. Subulatae Blakely allied to E. tramcontinentalis Maiden. It is confined to the Bremer Range, andit is at risk from present and proposed mining activities.
