摘要

The delicate balance of natural, cultural, economic und urban structures in the Donaumoos region is beginning to change. Fundamental changes in the responsible and sustainable use of all natural resources are imminent. The Donaumoos Development Planshows the course to be taken and the goal to be reached by 2030. A partnership of all interest groups (bottom-up principle) and open discussions have led to a high amount of acceptance, confidence and respect among all those concerned. The residents inthe Donaumoos region have better prospects for the future: their standards of living and housing will be maintained or improved, their economic situation consolidated, and their natural resources will receive the best possible care. The Donaumoos Development Organization is an interdisciplinary institution that advocates consensus and guarantees a swift implementation of all objectives. All previous experiences indicate that the overall approach will be realized within the given timeframe. However, ultimate success is closely linked with the continued provision of public funds.
