摘要

According to the idea of "Two-way-system", it is reasonable and cost effective that seismic input energy is dissipated by damping devices and main structural members maintain elastic state. NKK bas been developing three types of bysteretic energy dissipation devices with low yield strength steel for passive structural control which are wall, assembled wall and brace types. In this paper, mechanical properties of low yield strength steel and energy dissipation performance of hysteretic energy dissipation devices are described. Finally, some apprications of the energy dissipation devices are presented.
