The article deals with the Lithuanian commitments under the Kyoto Protocol of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and analyzes the possibilities to implement these commitments. The main issues addressed in the article are related to the greenhouse gas emission limits imposed by the Kyoto Protocol, which will be necessary to follow by implementing various policies and measures. The main aim of the article is to analyze the possibilities to implement the Kyoto requirements and to define the measures necessary to comply with Kyoto commitments in different sectors of Lithuanian economy.
