In the petroleum industry, mining of horizontal wells isextensively car- ried on with a view to improving the efficiency ofrecovering oil and gas and activating the existing oil wells. Sinceit has not been cleared yet how such factors as a casing bending andits wear, a friction force between the casing and the well wall andso exert influences on the properties of steel pipe, the safe andeconomical casing designing technology has not been established.
