The paper presents observation results concerning nine two-photon microwave-range Rydberg transitions 3snf~1F_3 →3s(n + l)f~1F_3 in the Mg I atom, with the frequencies measured with a laser-microwave spectrometer. The transitions were observed in the frequency range 56 to 117 GHz and the variation range of the principal quantum number n= 30 to 40. The resultant data were used to estimate the first quantum defect constant (E_(lj) = 0.0517019(91)).
