摘要

Subabul (Leucaena leucocephala (L.) de Wit) is a suitable tree/shrub component of a silvipasture system. The biomass production through improved and scientific silvipasture technology in relation to live stock management provides practical and effective way of utilizing non-arable and degraded lands. There is a lack of information on this aspect for North Saurashtra agro-climatic zone of the Gujarat State. Therefore, the present experiment was planned to findout suitable perennial pasture grass-legumes combinations alongwith fodder subabul, under rainfed condition in shallow and medium black soils of Gujarat.
