Annona based hortipastoral studies were conducted during 1996-1998 at Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi to evaluate the performance of eight Annona varieties with and without pasture. Plant survival ranged from 83 percent to 100percent with pasture and cent per cent without pasture. Based on performance of three years the varieties Atemoya, Island gem and Atemoya X Balangar performed better with pasture combinations. Island gem, Atemoya, and Chance seedlings showed better performance over other varieties in sole plantation. In general, the performance of all varieties were slightly better without pasture as compared to hortipastoral system. The pasture production under different varieties increased significantly from first year to third year.
