Stainless steel is a useful material due to its high resistance to corrosion; however, it can be vulnerable to surface contamination. The use of environmentally friendly UV coatings is preferred over the other technologies available. A coating is described that shows high hardness, good adhesion to metal as well as excellent scratch, heat and fingerprint resistance.
