Aberrant cell cycle regulation is the key feature for normal cells to transform into cancer cells. The ING (Inhibitor of Growth) family tumor suppressors, including ING1-5, are important regulators of progression through the cell cycle.1 ING1 was shown to induce G, cell cycle arrest in a p53-dependent manner in human skin fibroblasts.2 ING2 and ING3 were able to suppress cell growth in RKO colorec-tal carcinoma cells.34 ING4 and ING5 induced both G/S and G2/M arrest in p53-dependent manner.
