摘要

Bioremediation technology uses microorganisms to reduce,eliminate,contain and transform to benign products,contaminants present in soils,sediments,water or air.The last 15 years have seen an increase in the types of contaminants to which bioremediation is being applied,including solvents,explosives,polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),and polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs).Now,microbial processes are beginning to be used in the cleanup of radioactive and metallic contaminants.
