Dr. Ken Smith believes the best thing farmers can do to reduce production costs is to practice timeliness in performing required operations. "It will sure cut your herbicide bill," noted the weed scientist for the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. Smith is assigned to the UA Southeast Research and Extension Center at Monticello.
