摘要

Two common types of sulfur cures for diene elastomers are so-called conventional and efficient systems. It is widely thought that the former results in higher tear strength, when vulcanizates are compared at the same crosslink density. However, using data taken from the literature, this behavior is shown to occur at higher crosslink density, while the opposite is true at lower crosslink density.
