The published data concerning the development of the methods for preparative separation of structurally related and racemic hydroxyl-containing organic compounds through the formation of crystalline molecular complexes are generalised. Special attention is focused on the resolution of racemic alcohols and phenols into enantiomers. The bibliography includes 85 references.
