According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, it requires approximately 22 gallons of oil to manufacture one new popular size truck tyre. Yet, it only takes approximately 7 gallons of oil to produce a top quality retread of the same size, saving approximately 15 gallons of oil for each truck tyre that is retreaded!
