In this paper, we study the possibility of applying different semiempirical relations to the calculation of losses in the turbine cascades (in a wide range of the angle of attack). We show also that, when attempting to apply these relations to large (in modulus) negative incidence, none of the well-known formulas can provide sufficient accuracy of calculations. As applied to this case as well as for the case when β{sub}(1d) > 90°, we suggest using the modified formula borrowed from the monograph [1].
