New technology for fabrication of the BAg 7 brazing alloy by extrusion has been presented. Preliminary tests with BAg7 alloy manufacture by rolling carried out at the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Gliwice did not give expected results. Based on the examination of the alloy after its casting it was found that the temperature range of 480/620 deg C is suitable to obtain, by plastic working, a final product with required mechanical properties and plasticity. A method for the BAg7 alloy fabrication by extrusion proposed in this work enables material processing at very high degree of cold working and with preserved stability of temperature.
