The material is to be produced by either hot or cold working operations, or both. It is to be finished, unless otherwise specified, by such cold working and annealing or heat treatment as may be necessary to meet the properties specified. All pipe is to be normally furnished in the drawn-temper condition, (H55). Hard-drawn temper (H80) may be furnished also. When pipe is required for bending, the pipe is to be furnished with a proper bending temper, or annealed temper (061). All pipes for working pressures over 10 bar (10.5 kgf/cm2, 150 psi) are to be tested and inspected at the mills to the satisfaction of the Surveyor. The pipes are examined by the Surveyor when requested by the purchaser. The pipe is to be commercially round and is to be free from defects that interfere with normal applications.
