These requirements apply to the materials, manufacture, testing and certification of anchors, shanks and anchor shackles produced from cast or forged steel, or fabricated by welded rolled steel plate and bars. These manufacturing requirements are applicable to ordinary anchors and superior holding power (SHP) anchors.
