Modern pumps for the oil & gas industry, specifically pumps for water injection systems (WIS), must comply with a number of requirements. Major requirements include performance, efficiency and reliability. Centrifugal pumps are the largest power consumers in WIS. As practice shows that WIS accounts for over 30% of the total electric power consumed for oil production; and 60-70 percent of that falls on centrifugal pumps, CNS series.
