In this paper, the structure of the sound velocity field in the region of the Kuril-Kamchatka Current along the Bering Sea and Pacific coasts of the Kamchatka Peninsula and the Kuril Islands chain is analyzed on the basis of the data obtained during the expeditions of the Pacific Institute of Oceanology, Far East Division, Russian Academy of Sciences in 1989-1991 and during the cruises of R/V Vityaz' in 1950-1952. The evolution of the sound velocity field over the entire extension of the Kuril-Kamachatka Current is examined, and corresponding indices of the sound velocity field during different seasons are determined.
