The influence of the asymmetry and the excess of the deviations of the sea surface slopes from the values corresponding to the normal distribution on the probability of mirror reflection glitters is analyzed.The analysis was carried out for sounding angles up to 15 deg.It was shown that,at sounding angles close to zero,the average probability of glitters is greater than that calculated for the Gaussian surface.In certain cases,this excess can reach 29%.When the sounding is carried out at angles from 10 deg to 15 deg,the average probability is lower and the discrepancy can exceed 40%.
