摘要

The objective of this work is the recycling of lignosulfonates present in the NSSC process spent liquors in grafted polymers, with the aim of obtaining an added value product, useful as cationic polyelectrolyte. Using two types of cationic synthetic monomers, two grafting techniques were testedon isolated lignosulfonates, and on the NSSC spent liquors. The grafted copolymers' characterization includes determination of their molecular weight distribuiton and their heteropolymers and homopolymers ratio. The grafted copolymers were applied to a pulp slurry and to an effluent to evaluat their flocculant properties.
