Higher grower returns are the main focus for new Zespri grower director Dr Mark Mark is a strong supporter of single desk marketing (referred to in the local kiwifruit world as the 'single point of entry) arguing that without them New Zealand's returns in offshore markets would decline, and kiwifruit promotion and research efforts would be in peril. He says effective advertising lifts Zespri out of the ruck in fiercely competitive produce markets.
