摘要

The process to benchmark the NZGAP programme to the latest version 4 of GlobalGAP is in its final stages. The GlobalGAP benchmarking process is long and detailed, involving the interpretation of over a thousand GlobalGAP rules and compliance points and explaining how these are met in the New Zealand GAP programme. Whilst this is a painstaking process, it provides New Zealand GAP growers with the ability to work to its own set of scheme rules and checklist. This is a vast improvement on the current situation where growers, other than those in the group schemes, are required to operate directly to the GlobalGAP standard.
