Orgalime, the trade association for European engineering associations, has responded to the proposed reform of Europe’s rules for the compliance of radio equipment, generally endorsing a moderate version of the reform as promoted by the European Parliament in April. In particular it is keen to have a scope which is close to that of the existing Directive 1999/5/EC and to minimise any additional complications for documentation rules and declarations of conformity (DoCs).
