In January, the CISPR committee within the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) released a new guidance document IEC/PAS 62825 Ed.1.0 (2013-01) aimed at minimising radiated radio-frequency (RF) disturbances from modern large screen televisions.1 For some time the trend for consumers to invest in larger television screens has raised concerns over the interference potential of these bigger and more powerful devices in the home and commercial environments.
