摘要

In 2013, a new standard EN 12016:2013, covering the EMC immunity of lifts (elevators), escalators and horizontal walkways was issued by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). A replacement for and identically numbered standard dating from 2004, it is designed for showing the compliance of equipment to the essential requirements of the EMC Directive 2004/108/EC and in so doing it also gives a presumption of conformity for the safety requirements pertaining to EMC for both the Lifts Directive 95/16/EC and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. To this end it has already be confirmed as a harmonised standard for both the safety directives and will be for the EMC Directive too.
