The National Electrical Contractors Association has voiced strong concerns about particular aspects of OSHA's proposed rules governing power line construction work. The association said while the new guidelines have the potential to help reduce fatalitis and injuries among electricians, electric utilities that hire contractors to perform construction and maintenance work must share responsibility for ensuring worker safety.
