摘要

In the last issue I discussed the new Clean Energy Manufacturing Innovation Institute for Composite Materials and Structures, a program being solicited by the US Department of Energy (DOE). The award of that program to one of four proposal teams is expected to be announced as this SAMPE Journal issue is going into publication. One aspect I mentioned briefly toward the end of my previous column was the fact that "recycling" technology of carbon fiber materials would be an important part of that program throughout its various applications.
