Sometimes I am fearful of confusing our SAMPE members. I have talked and written about this many times in the past: Many among our membership look at SAMPE and they see a world of advanced composites. It is a varied and complex world that is poised for explosive growth in the coming decades. There are many reasons for this and the nuances are as subtle as they are varied. Composite structures have benefits that speak eloquently of structural efficiency and corrosion resistance and design flexibility. Composite materials are technology enablers that simply allow us to do more with less. Those who employ them gain great benefit from that reality.
