SAMPE 2011's return to Long Beach has been met with amazing success, drawing thousands to the Long Beach Convention Center for the world's largest advanced materials and processes (M&P) conference and exhibition. Returning to California for the first time since 2008, SAMPE 2011 attracted 106 new exhibiting companies, with 356 total exhibitors representing 555 companies. Alongside the exposition, over 250 technical presentations and eight tutorials were presented at the conference. In total 7,121 delegates attended the conference and exhibition. Delegates came from 28 countries, 48 states plus the District of Columbia. "SAMPE is on an upward trend," Dr. Allan Crasto, Associate Director at the University of Dayton Research Institute, Dayton, Ohio and SAMPE international president said. "We seem to have fully recovered from the impact of the recession. Our success isn't solely linked to the economy, though.This SAMPE event offers education and networking opportunities that are vital to the success of today's M&P professionals."
