Spot prices of seaborne iron ore fell for the tenth straight day Monday as participants stayed on the sidelines, spooked by a weekend plunge in Tangshan billet prices. The 62% Fe IODEX was assessed 2 dollars/dry mt lower, down to 123.25 dollars/dmt CFR North China. Amid a scarcity of firm bids and offers, steelmaker and trader price indications were wide ranging, highlighting the confusion in the market.
