The swaps market quieted slightly Thursday after SGX cleared more than 850,000 mt on the preceding day, with those volumes mainly related to spreads trading. The 858,000 mt cleared Wednesday was just 10,000 mt short of the record day in October when physical prices were falling rapidly, brokers and sources said. On Thursday, April printed at 140 dollars/dry mt, basis The Steel Index, and 139.75 dollars/ dmt, with May done at 137 dollars/dmt.
