摘要

The present field trial was carried out during rainy season of 1998 to determine the most suitable hybrid of Okra for commercial cultivation in Tarai conditions of Uttaranchal. Out of nineteen hybrids AROH-10 followed by DVR-3 and AROH-9 produced higher pod yield per hectare. KOH, DVR-3 and DVR-4 took less number of days to pod picking. Among all the hybrids, higher number of pods per plant was recorded in AROH-10, AROH-9 and DVR-3. Longest pods were harvested from AROH-10, PRVOH-2, and AROH-9. Out of nineteen hybrids, twelve hybrids were found free from yellow vein mosaic virus infection at 30 days after sowing. Highest mosaic infection (81.1%) was recorded in Hy. OH-01 followed by PROOH 01 (53.7%) and HyOH 02 (50.5%).
